Danena is a stunning yoga retreat center on the popular southeast coast of Sicily. Sicily is the home of my Italian relatives. The main location is a 19th-century farmhouse - La Masseria - situated in a natural landscape surrounded by the breathtaking Mediterranean Sea. Our aim is to transmit and share simplicity in everything we offer. During the week we will practice yoga twice a day, take day trips to baroque towns, and markets.

Mid-week we will pack our suitcase and head to the seaside oasis of Marsala where we will check in a luxurious villa. The rest of the yoga retreat will be a slow down when we focus on renewal and restoration. Take in a deeply relaxing Yin yoga class before bedtime, or practice meditation with your tea as the soft winds blow off the coastal rocks and up to the rustic local villa. The Baglio is a classic Sicilian farmhouse, set in the fragrant grounds of a biologically cultivated citrus. When life throws you Sicilian lemons, make lemonade!

This September Namaste Mar will be hosting a beautiful weekend retreat in Sicily. Soak in the culture, history and amazing food and wine. We can organise a retreat for you and your group, with every detail catered for. We deal with yoga masters and discuss individual requirements to design a retreat made as close to your wishes as possible. This will be our first yoga adventure to Sicily. It is an island that we have had on our yoga retreat destination wish list for a very long time.
